National Honor Society: The Excelsior chapter of the National Honor Society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, character, leadership and service.
The National Honor Society invites juniors and seniors who have maintained a GPA greater than 3.8 to apply in the fall. The induction ceremony is typically held in November. The annual service project for the NHS is Christmas for Kids. Money is raised by the NHS to purchase Christmas gifts for children in the district in need. The NHS members purchase and wrap the gifts.
