The High School Hiking Club takes field trips (about one per month) to local destinations such as Wachusett Mountain, Cook's Canyon, the Quabbin Reservoir, and Mount Monadnock. Most trips are at no cost to the students. Some trips take place after school on weekdays, while others occur on weekends, so even if you're involved with other clubs or athletic teams, you are encouraged to join in. In addition to the physical benefits and the opportunity to make some new friends, spending time outdoors can boost your mood and improve mental health. The Quabbin District and the surrounding area has many wonderful hiking destinations, so come take a hike with us. We meet every other Friday during Flex Block to plan our upcoming hikes. See Mr. Haley in H225 for more information.
