The Quabbin Mathematics Department seeks to develop resilient citizens who are prepared to think critically, analyze data, make conjectures, and reach solutions through authentic justification. Within each course offering, the mathematics department places priority on rigor, application, communication, connections, and problem solving through the study of mathematics.

Students acquire number sense; an understanding of patterns, relations, and functions; an appreciation of geometry and measurement; and an awareness of the role of probability and statistics in everyday life. We recognize the potential of mathematics to empower students to work toward an equitable and thriving community as they become life-long learners.
